About Me
Amazing things can happen when you can connect with the right therapist who “gets” you. But I also understand how nervous you can feel about finding a therapist who is genuinely accepting and supportive of who you are.
I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve felt the same way, too. When I was younger, I sought therapy to help improve my mental health. I didn’t know what I was getting into when I started therapy. I worried I’d be analyzed and judged. It seemed scary, to be honest.
Therapy wasn’t like that at all. Instead, it was a life-changing experience that sparked my passion for helping others as a psychotherapist. I learned how healing it is to be in a safe and sacred space where you can talk freely about what you are going through.
My down-to-earth therapy style is focused on you. As your therapist, we’ll talk about what you need to feel supported and safe -- both in our sessions and in your life. You’ll find that I truly enjoy getting to know you on an intimate level and learning about your unique background.
I believe in practicing the same things I encourage my clients to do and this includes having a good work-life balance. Being in nature is such an important part of my life, as it makes me feel content, calm, and fulfilled. I'll often spend my free time looking for a new hike. I feel that it is particularly refreshing to "unplug" and to practice being present and mindful.
"The curious paradox is when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
-Carl Rogers-
